The Akai XR10 is a vintage 16-bit PCM digital drum machine released by Akai in 1990. It features 65 internal acoustic and electronic percussion sounds, 8-voice polyphony, and integrated pattern programming.
Technical Specs and DesignSound generation: 16-bit PCM ROM samples with 65 editable waveforms and 32 user sound slots.
Sequencer: Capacity for 50 preset rhythm styles and 99 programmable patterns, chaining up to 20 songs.
Connections: MIDI In/Out, stereo main outputs (L/Mono, R), a separate assignable effect output, headphone jack, and two footswitch inputs.
