The Mahalia is a large-diaphragm tube condenser microphone. The Mahalia features a BeesNeez K6 capsule with a double backplate, designed to deliver a frequency response across the entire range without over-emphasising the high frequencies. The Mahalia’s sound can be described as silky and refined. It features a double-overlapping K6 capsule with bevelled blind holes, a General Electric JAN 5654 valve and 9 polar patterns.
I’m selling off a large part of my studio stock. In the first batch, there were 2 pairs of Stam Audio, 1 pair of Royer 122s and 1 pair of Brauner VM1s. Now there are several more pairs, including Neumann KM 256s, Schoeps m221s, Stam SA87Ts, a first pair of Neumann KM84s and 1 Beesneez Mahalia.
