Don't let the name fool you — this isn't a Big Muff. The English Muff'n is EHX's tube-driven answer to classic British amp breakup, running dual vacuum tubes to get real valve saturation instead of faking it with clipping diodes. If you want that Marshall-plexi snarl in pedal form, with a full EQ section to shape it, this is built for exactly that player.
It ships stock with two EHX 12AY7 preamp tubes, and you can roll in a 12AX7 for more gain or a 12AU7 for less, so it's tweakable well beyond the knobs. True bypass runs through a mechanical relay, and controls cover Volume, Gain, Bass, Middle, and Treble.
Worth noting for the tone hunters: this model was discontinued in 2021, so it's not something you'll find new anymore. This one is in excellent condition with Velcro on the back.
