Fender Custom Shop 1966 Stratocaster Closet Classic (2005) — Mint Condition

This 2005 Fender Custom Shop ’66 Stratocaster Closet Classic is an outstanding example of early‑2000s Custom Shop craftsmanship. It’s in mint condition, in sought after Firemist Silver, with a finish that’s clean, glossy, and free of any wear. The Closet Classic treatment gives it the perfect lightly aged look without the heavy relic marks—meant to replicate a guitar that was purchased in 1966 and put in the closet, never touched. Just the right amount of vintage vibe with modern playability. One of the pictures shows the deliberate finish checking on these models.

The neck is smooth and fast with the classic mid‑’60s feel, and the frets have no wear. Electronics are quiet and responsive, delivering the chime, clarity, and punch that make the ’66 spec so sought‑after. This is one of those Custom Shop Strats that feels alive the moment you plug it in.

All hardware, plastics, and finish are exceptionally clean. Includes the original Custom Shop hard case and case candy.
