Tele style, Solid chambered Ash body with a ¼” Cherry  top.

Chambered body, (to lessen the overall weight).
¼” thick Cherry top.

                1” deep pickup routs
                1 ½” deep control cavity rout
                7/8” plug in rout
                5/8” deep by 56MM neck pocket
                5/16” string through ferrules

1 3/4” thick body

String through holes and bridge anchor points styled for a 4 screw ashtray style bridge.

All electrical connection passages are provided as well as holes for the strap anchors.  Pickguard screw points are NOT provided.   

Clear coat finish. Three costs and a buff/polish.

The back story on this body:

I got the wood for this body from a restaurant liquidator who was selling furnishings, chairs,       equipment and table tops taken from downtown Minneapolis restaurants who for one reason or            another had taken steps to get rid of their old furnishings.  The table top I selected for purchase was made of hard and reasonably heavy Ash sections glued together under pressure.   I don’t know for sure, but this table top had to be at least 30 to 40 years old, (if that even makes a difference).

I sectioned the table top into usable pieces and ran everything through my planer to achieve the             correct thickness for use as a Tele blank.  The chambering step was to help reduce the overall weight of the body.
