Up for sale is an incredibly rare piece of boutique amplifier history: an authentic, early Budda Superdrive 30 (SD30) Prototype hand-built during the legendary Jeff Bober era.

For serious tone chasers and amp collectors, the early pre-Peavey Budda amplifiers are widely considered the holy grail of modern boutique channel-switchers. This specific unit is a verified prototype, showcasing the early R&D and hand-wired mastery that defined the iconic "Budda Twin" and Superdrive legacy.

 Provenance & Authenticity:
This is not a standard production model. The chassis features clear, unambiguous internal prototype markings from the design and testing phase. (See attached photos of the gut shots showing the prototype designation).

 The Tone:
If you know Budda, you know the SD30 is famous for its massive, touch-sensitive crunch, blistering harmonically rich overdrive, and surprisingly chimey cleans. Powered by its classic EL84 power section, this prototype delivers that legendary "loudest 30 watts in the business" authority with incredible note definition and an organically fluid playing feel.  Paired with the Celestion Alnico Gold speaker, you get all the amp's chimey high-end brightness, smooth midrange, and rich alnico compression. It provides a sweet, responsive clean tone and handles pushed-power crunch without getting harsh or muddy.

• Chassis: Clean, fully functional, and structurally sound.
• Cabinet: 1x12 Combo format.
• Components: All pots, jacks, and transformers are in excellent working order.
• Tubes: Fresh and ready to rock.
• Celestion Gold speaker has been used for only 10 hours of studio testing.
• Note that there is an additional knob on the far right that is not functional.  Nothing is damaged or missing; it is surmised that this might have been an iteration to possibly include a Presence or Reverb feature on the amp, which was ultimately scrapped.
