This is exactly what you imagine an early Stratocaster to be! This '56 Reissue in 2-Tone Sunburst is crafted from lightweight, two-piece alder. The one-piece maple neck features an Oval "C" profile that fills the hand nicely—pleasantly reminiscent of '54 models, yet without their characteristic bulkiness. The fretboard radius has been subtly modernized compared to the originals, featuring a 9.5" radius and 6105 frets, resulting in near-optimal playability. The body delivers authentic vintage mojo, showcasing a beautiful 2-Tone Sunburst finish and a relatively understated "Heavy Relic" aging treatment. The period-correct tremolo with a steel block offers remarkably stable tuning, while the built in Kloppmann PU's (original: Fender Fat '50s single-coils) fit the overall sonic character perfectly.
Additional Notes: Heavy Relic body; neck with worn, "dirty" finish on the back; significant fretboard wear; middle tone knob controls neck pickup; no tone control for middle pickup; rear tone knob controls bridge pickup.
