Title

1980s Fender Japan Boxer Series ST-557 Stratocaster Olympic White System I MIJ w/ Hard Case

Description

Mid-1980s Fender Japan Boxer Series ST-557 Stratocaster finished in Olympic White, with a one-piece maple neck, Fender Japan Hot Rod single-coil pickups and the factory Fender System I locking tremolo.

The Olympic White finish has aged to a rich cream color, giving the guitar the unmistakable look of a vintage 1980s Fender Japan instrument. The pickup covers and control knobs have also developed noticeable age-related yellowing that complements the finish.

The neck heel and body pocket are both marked C 557, confirming the ST-557 model designation and supporting the neck and body as a matching factory pair.

This model was part of Fender Japan’s performance-oriented Boxer lineup and combines traditional Stratocaster styling with several distinctly 1980s features.

The guitar is in very good condition for an approximately 40-year-old instrument. It shows dents, scratches, finish wear and additional signs of use across the front, back, sides and body edges. Several of the marks are clearly visible in the photographs and should be reviewed carefully.

The Fender System I tremolo and locking system are present, and the tremolo arm is included. As with most vintage locking-tremolo guitars, a professional setup may be desired so the action, intonation, bridge balance and string lock can be adjusted to the buyer’s preferences.

Please zoom in and examine all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the condition description.
