About this listing
Dramatically downsizing to help fund farm operations. Listing more than 40 pieces in the coming days. Please check my other listings. If you know what this is, you probably know how special this listing is and will likely fall under the category of "one that got away" someday for me. As many probably already know, Tree Audio officially closed its doors to new production in March of 2026. They are now operating strictly to provide support and repairs for existing gear, which means these hand-built tube units are no longer being made. The value of these pieces is already climbing, and finding one in great condition is getting increasingly difficult. The Branch II is essentially a stand-alone channel strip pulled directly from their Roots mixing console. The sound is exactly what you hope for from premium tube gear: effortless elegance and openness, with a silky sheen that makes everything sound huge without being overly colored. I had put together a handful of channel strips like this for different flavor and color, and unfortunately they are all going (check my other listings for Neve, Retro, Chandler, and others). Here is a quick rundown of the sections:The Preamp: A massive all-valve design featuring NOS tubes. It captures the true character of your source with incredible warmth and density. The EQ: A simple, stepped two-band EQ with very smooth Baxandall curves. It isn't for surgical correction; it is designed to enhance, adding weight and air perfectly around the blooming mid-range of the preamp. The Compressor: This features the optical limiter section taken directly from the highly coveted Inward Connections TSL-4 Vac Rac limiter for transparent gain reduction.Unlike the original Branch, the Branch II also features a variable high-pass filter (80, 125, 250Hz) and selectable input impedance, making it incredibly versatile for different microphones. This one is in excellent condition and has been incredibly well-cared-for in my smoke-free home studio. I am usually a stickler for boxes and "box candy", but for some reason I can't seem to find this one. I will make sure it is double boxed and very well packed at all layers. Check my feedback to see commentary on my obsessive detail for shipping. ☺️Specifications:Preamp: All-tube mic/line/instrument input with custom-wound input/output transformersNew Branch II Features: Variable gain select, selectable input impedance (37.5, 150, 600 Ohms), and 80Hz/125Hz/250Hz high-pass filterEQ: 2-band Baxandall (Lo: 50, 80, 100, 400 Hz / Hi: 7k, 10k, 12k, 16k Hz)Limiter: Inward Connections TSL-4 optical limiter circuit with 250Hz sidechain HPFPower: Internal vacuum tube and linear, fully regulated power supplyFormat: 3U 19" rackmount chassisLet me know if you have any questions. As I mentioned above doing serious liquidation to help support the horse sanctuary so will be listing a lot in the upcoming days.re: RETURNSI have noticed in recent years here and on other sites there seems to be an increase of buyers that purchase an item, practically invent some sort of problem or issue, and then hold the seller's feedback ransom in order to get a few bucks back for free. That is why I am making it perfectly clear in my listings that I do not accept returns. Please ask all questions up front (additional condition details, request more pictures, etc.). However, if you check my feedback both here and on a popular auction site ( jmarsh45 ) you will see that I have a perfect 100% feedback rating of over 1,500 across both platforms over the past 20+ years. I take my feedback and my gear very seriously even though I am a hobbyist. So please know that if there is a genuine problem, I am sure we can work something out. Just reach out before or after with any questions or issues.
