This uber rare Jennings J100 amplifier head, serial number 1204, dates to approximately 1969–1970.

After leaving Vox in 1967, Jennings returned to the original Dartford works and began producing a new line of amplifiers with the input of the original vox amp design team of Dick Denney and John Oram that effectively continued his design philosophy outside of the Vox name.

The very early J100 series production example sits right at the centre of this brief but historically important chapter in British amplifier manufacturing, making surviving examples, particularly low serial number units like this, highly desirable to collectors investors and discerning players.

This amplifier was produced during the Dartford era, placing it firmly within the earliest phase of Jennings’ post-Vox output.
