The 2026 Huber Truetone Custom, serial 625-13, is a professional grade five string resonator banjo built by Steve Huber. It is brand new, in stock, and set up now, not a year out custom order.

STYLED AFTER THE PREWAR GIBSON RB-6

The hardware is gold plated and hand engraved in the style of a prewar Gibson RB-6, the Style 6 that sat at the top of Gibson's 1930s Mastertone line. The neck is mahogany. The resonator is a special curly maple Granada style resonator, the figured flame maple associated with the early original five string flathead Granadas. The inlay is ornate mother of pearl with a fleur de lis headstock.

THE HUBER TRUETONE POT

This banjo uses the Huber Truetone system: the gold plated Huber HR-30 20 hole flathead tone ring seated in the Huber Truetone Engineered Rim, the matched ring and rim Huber developed from measurement of exceptional prewar Gibson flatheads. It is the foundation of the Huber tone that has made the brand a standard among professional bluegrass players.
