Yamaha YBS-62 Purple Label Baritone Saxophone - Lacquer

Yamaha YBS 62 Purple Label Saxophone. You rarely see these go up for sale, it's always a treat to see and play one. Serial 1128 which is early, this is probably made in the 70s rather than 80s. The purple logo is quite worn but parts of it are still visible.

The body has had your usual dents and lacquer loss over the years, it has been worn some. It plays very well despite it looks. The pads are in good shape as well, no leaks. I can play low A up to high f# no problem. The keys are comfortable and move as they should, they have some small amounts of clang and ding as expected for an older horn. The neck is a brand new made by Yamaha neck that is designed for the older YBS 62. The neck is a Yamaha part and is the 100% correct neck for this horn. The case is a large wooden case, which I think is not original Yamaha. It fits the sax well and is sturdy but old. It will be great for shipping it to you and storing it safely but isn't great for every day use.
