Browne Amplification Carbon Overdrive V2 Pedal - Midnight Black

Browne Amplification Carbon Overdrive V2 Pedal, Midnight Black is built for players who want a smooth, low to mid-gain overdrive that feels natural under the fingers and works in just about any rig. This is the standalone version of the Blue side from the Protein, and it is a great fit for players looking for an always-on drive or a foundation tone that stacks well with other pedals.

At its core, the Carbon V2 is a refined take on a Bluesbreaker-style circuit, delivering everything from clean boost to warm, dynamic overdrive. The Gain and Volume controls keep things straightforward, while the Tone control shapes the overall response without getting overly sharp or harsh. The V2 adds a 3-way hi-cut toggle, giving you more control over the top end, whether you need to tame brightness or keep things open. Left gives a subtle cut, center is the original Carbon voicing, and right rolls off more high end for smoother tones.

From a usability standpoint, this pedal is easy to live with. It is designed to stay on, respond well to your picking dynamics, and stack naturally with other drives without getting muddy. Soft switching with an adjustable startup state keeps things consistent on your board, and the compact footprint makes it easy to place anywhere in your signal chain. We like this one for players who want a dependable, transparent overdrive that enhances their tone rather than changing it completely.
