- January 1967 Ampeg AEB-1 Model Electric Bass Guitar, made in Linden NJ USA
- Rare to find this one has the serial # 609 of a total of 750 made
- Red/black sunburst finish, laminated maple body, maple neck with ebony fingerboard, original black tolex hard shell case.
- This is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a relatively rare instrument: the first version of the fretted Ampeg AEB-1 (Ampeg Electric Bass #1), the company's first production "horizontal" bass.
- There is a visible finish line/mark at the transition between the headstock and the neck.
This is due to the original construction method and the wood joint in that specific area. Over time (nearly 60 years in this case), the finish naturally settles and makes this joint slightly visible. Every original AEB-1 from this period shows the same feature to some degree. - The bass plays great, light and easy to wear. Low action and fast fretboard
- Light Weight: 4,1 Kg
- Original Case, Yellow Tag, Chrome cover with the original muting foam.
