Really Cool Magnatone Lap Steel and Amp.
Amp works great, and so does the Lap Steel. Would like to sell them as a set, but will consider offers on one or the other. Looks like the pickup is a lipstick pickup, which is not original but sounds excellent. The amp has had the main filter cap changed out for a new one.
Vintage 1950s Maestro lap steels, manufactured by Magnatone in Los Angeles, are renowned for their striking green pearloid finish and sweet-sounding, period-correct pickups. These 6-string or triple-neck instruments were frequently paired with matching 1950s Magnatone tube amplifiers (such as the M-212-8B), which utilized dual 6L6 tubes and Jensen speakers to produce a warm, "Tweed Twin"-style tone.
