Original vintage 1981 Alembic Distillate Bass in gorgeous playing condition, complete with original hard case!
A fine example of the classic Alembic neck through design, on the heels of the venerable series I and series II basses, the distillate incorporates the active preamplifier and equalizer circuitry with a simple 9v battery system, rather than the more cumbersome outboard power supply.
This old girl could not play better. These old Alembics are simply masterpieces of American design and craftsmanship; effortless neck, perfect feel, and massive tone. A true lifetime instrument.
Cosmetically, she’s quite lovely as well, with light and natural finish and play wear only. No repairs, breaks, or funny business. Keeper.
