The Fender Stratocaster Sunburst Original Vintage 1961 represents one of the finest examples of pre-CBS craftsmanship. Built with an alder body and three-tone Sunburst nitrocellulose finish, it features a light body overspray partially removed many years ago, which does not affect its authentic appearance or tonal character. The overall patina remains natural and consistent with its age, showing over six decades of genuine vintage wear.

The maple neck with “slab board” Brazilian rosewood fingerboard features a 7.25" radius and 21 original frets, still perfectly playable and well preserved.

The original “black bottom” single coil pickups deliver all the tonal character typical of early ’60s Stratocasters — amazing sound, fat basses, bright trebles, dynamic, and harmonically rich. The in-between positions produce the classic, transparent and three-dimensional “quack” tone that defines this era.

The Electronic is original, with 1961-dated pots, cloth wiring, and a paper-in-oil capacitor. The guitar retains its original synchronized tremolo bridge with “Fender Pat. Pend.” saddles and Kluson Deluxe tuners, all in excellent working order.

Weighing only 3.49 kg, this Stratocaster offers exceptional resonance and dynamic response. It comes with its original Brown case, also in good condition. A true collector-grade example, representing the finest quality and craftsmanship of the pre-CBS Fender era.
