The Martin M, or 0000 is the hybrid body size when you are looking for something with more meat than a 000 or more comfort than a dreadnought. With a 16″ lower bout, this body size came to be when Martin decided to make a flat top out of their archtop model. Think large OM or thin body jumbo. Volume, warmth and projection with more focused mids and highs. The comfortable softer venetian cutaway allows access to the higher register for more diverse playing possibilities.
This Custom Shop 0000 is model features the wonderful tonewood combination of premium grade Highly Flamed Koa back and sides with natural finish paired with an old growth Sinker Redwood top. This custom build features forward shifted scalloped X bracing, Tortoise body bindings, Black Ebony fretboard and bridge, premium Highly Flamed Koa headstock overlay, modified low oval neck with high performance taper, style 28 checkered back strip, white pins with tortoise dots, Nickel Grover butterbean tuners, 1 3/4″ nut width, 2 5/32″ saddle spacing and more.
