RARE Akai S1000KB Digital Stereo Sampling Keyboard (1990)

For sale: A very rare Akai S1000KB High Quality Digital Sampling Keyboard from 1990.

A highly regarded sampler keyboard and ideal tool for House, Hiphop, EDM productions and other genres. Includes several original Akai floppy disks.

She's a big and heavy girl not to be messed with :) All in all a true gem from the 90's in it's original state. These don't come by often.

Features include:

- 16-note polyphony allowing complex passages to be played with the full sample time.

- The S1000 is perfectly compatible with sequencers such as the AKAI MPC-60 or ASQ-10.

- 8 loop points per sample.

- Two independent ADSR Envelope Generators.

- Full velocity, positional and looping crossfading.

- Digital Sample Editing: This feature enables you to "stretch" or "squeeze" samples without changing the pitch in order to fit them into a specific time slot.

- In the studio: eight separate outputs allow maximum flexibility in mixing and adding effects.

- The S1000 is capable of processing up to 200 samples, 100 programs, or a combination of up to 400 samples + programs and key-groups.

On the back of the keyboard you will find a lot of I/O options to choose from like:

- Sustain and foot-switch pedal connections

- MIDI IN/OUT/THRU

- SCSI

- XLR and JACK Inputs and Outputs + 8 individual outputs

Disclaimer: It needs a replacement Akai S1000 S1100 2MB Memory Card which is about 45,- euros which should be an easy fix.
