Ibanez Tube Screamer 1979! Original Vintage! The Holy Grail!

Ultra rare TS808 1979.

Early narrow model with TWO rare MC1458P chips.

This early model sounds like the later ones but has more output and distortion when cranked up.

The narrow green box is based on the Ibanez Overdrive 2. The printedboard is therefore marked OD801.

The second jack drill hole on the left side is original to the OD2 housing.

This very early model has NO serialnumber on the bottom plate!

Equipped with the very rare early version of a Dual Op-amp MC1458P 1979.

The Level knob is labeled BALANCE on these early ones. (instead of the later "LEVEL").

It has the Ibanez R trade mark logo. The external 9 volt dc powerjack is on the side next to the input jack.

All parts are original 1979.

The only “modification” : an extra front drill hole for a 9V DC ext. input. meant for mounting in a pedal box.

It’s looks are pretty battered, has seen 43 odd years of action, been on the road and still it works just like a new one! Or rather: better!
