On the bottom is a quiet integrated on-off switch and terminating in small 3 pin Tuchel connection.

Built with a rugged metal housing and reinforced grille, the MD 408 N is designed for durability in both studio and live environments. The construction minimizes handling noise and protects the capsule, making it a dependable tool even decades after its release.

SOUND CHARACTER

The MD 408 N delivers a rich, full-bodied sound with a strong and focused midrange. It excels on guitar cabinets, snare drums, percussion, and character vocals, offering clarity and definition without harshness.

The high end is crisp yet controlled, while the low end remains tight and articulate, resulting in a balanced and musical sound that sits naturally in a mix. A classic dynamic tone with unmistakable vintage character.
