The Laney LA-Studio Black Country Customs is a 3-watt all-tube amp head drawing its design lineage from the 1967 Laney Supergroup amplifier and the LA30BL Black Country Customs head. It runs on three ECC83 preamp tubes and a single 12BH7 power tube, with an onboard power brake that drops output to 0.1 watts for low-volume use. Four inputs (Bass Hi, Bass Lo, Treble Hi, Treble Lo) reflect the vintage-style dual-channel architecture, while 16 Ohm and 8 Ohm speaker outputs, a headphone jack, and MIDI In/Out/Thru round out the connectivity. Built-in reactive load circuitry enables silent, cabinet-free operation, and an embedded Two Notes Torpedo module provides six onboard virtual cabinets, impulse response loading, Torpedo Remote software integration for DAW recording, a balanced XLR direct output, and USB connectivity - making it a self-contained recording solution as much as a stage or studio head.
