Overview
In 2012, Gibson introduced a more modern take on the Les Paul Standard, featuring the same Burstbuckers and Asymmetrical neck profile as found on the 2008-2012 Les Paul Standard but with the added innovations of coil tapping, phase switching, and a bridge pickup tone bypass. These Les Pauls were available with AA Flame maple, AAA Flame, Quilt, or Birdseye maple, and AAAA Flame maple tops. A koa topped version was also available.
