About this listing
Up for sale is 1978 Fender USA Jazz Bass Guitar . Please read the full description as the bass has had some work done to it .The body has been refinish with the original pickguard holes filled and looks to have had a battery compartment filled aswell . A "scoop " to the body has been added possible to allow access to the higher frets .I personally think it looks pretty cool as it is , but will include a pickguard if wanted to add one but you would need to redrill the holes. The pickups looks to be original as do the electrics but please checkout all the photos to make up your own mind as I am no expert on this era of basses. The bass plays and sounds great with that classic 70s Jazz bass tone and not too heavy compared to other late 70s jazz basses I have played .Take into account the body even though refinished has not been clearcoated so if you use a polish some of the finish comes off (ever so slightly ) . Considering all original versions are selling for over 3k I think the price is fair.
