Another amazing Goldtop the Gibson Custom Shop made based on our own specs: This is a 57 Custom in Goldtop Standard look. Take a 1957 Goldtop Darkback reissue, glue a mahogany top instead of maple and an ebony fretboard instead of rosewood. Of course our „Victoria“ outfit with open double-black un-potted Custombuckers, and no pickguard (you can easily install both if needed cause the parts come in the case). The result is a guitar with a very different tone, the mahogany top makes it more honky and midrange sounding and the ebony board adds the highs and sonic response. Just like a Les Paul Custom but with the look of a 57 Goldtop. Super cool guitar and very limited quantity! The guitar also has a 1959 Carmelita neck profile with the bigger frets!
