High-quality Kurt Cobain “SkyStang I” inspired replica based on a Squier Classic Vibe Mustang platform.
Built by Khrisstore and purchased new in August 2025.
The guitar is in very good condition and has only been played at home in a private environment. It has never been used for live performances or in a rehearsal space and has not been subjected to transport-related wear or damage. From a smoke-free home.
The guitar has recently been professionally set up, plays comfortably with a low action, is properly intonated, and offers excellent tuning stability. The electronics work flawlessly with no crackling, noise, or dropouts.
There are no major dings, paint damage, or structural issues.
Reason for sale: Downsizing my collection.
Upgrades & Modifications
- Upgraded from the original Squier tuners to high-quality Gotoh SD91-05M 6L-N tuners. Significantly improved tuning stability and overall feel.
- The Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB humbucker has been wired with a coil-split function: Rear switch position: Full humbucker mode; Front switch position: Single-coil mode
- This modification greatly expands the tonal versatility of the guitar while maintaining its classic Cobain-inspired character.
- The original Pearl Red pickguard with yellow "V" sticker has been replaced with a premium Pickford pickguard that closely matches the appearance of the original SkyStang I.
