100% analog echo chamber with amplifier, mixer, equalizer, and spring reverb tank in very good condition. Solton Commander 2000 model, 'Made in Germany' in the 80s, and integrated echo system, “Made in Japan” by the renowned Evans. Well-built, operates at 220 volts and has an amplified output for a 100W RMS speaker. Supports impedances between 4 and 16Ω (e.g., 2x8Ω, 1x4Ω). At 4Ω, the amplifier delivers 100 watts RMS. The amplification was extremely well done, with a low signal-to-noise ratio, due to its toroidal transformer. The way the Evans echo works is identical in every way to tape delay like Maestro Echoplex, Dynacord Echocord, HH Echo Unit, with its sliding axis system, in which the recording head moves along an axis, creating very interesting effects by adjusting to the millisecond that would not be possible in fixed-head echoes. As a consequence, a pleasant chorus is generated by the sudden change of position. The sound is very good. In addition, there is also a second head for a double effect, via the "ECHO" button. The echoes are quite clear and of great quality, entering saturation and oscillation when desired (Repeat button). Like the Roland RE models, this model has echo velocity! It is probably one of the most appealing options in an echo chamber. In addition to the greater option generated by the different 'tempos', the velocity changes also create a chorus in the signal. Undoubtedly a great asset! Also made famous by the Roland RE-201, the Evans features a tape platter, an endless tape system that allows for tapes from 51cm up to +/-4m, greatly increasing their lifespan, in addition to versatility and compatibility with virtually all tapes on the market. For the echo, there are 4 types of switches: Swell (single echo), Repeat (adds echo repetitions), Echo (adds a second fixed head), and Cathetral (echo + reverb). The intensity of the “Swell” switch is adjusted using the “ECHO VOLUME” knob, the “Repeat” switch using the “REPEAT VOLUME” knob, and finally, the intensity of the “Cathetral” switch is adjusted using the “EFFEKT CATH/REV” knob, which controls the reverb. There are also “TAPE SPEED” knobs for the echo speed and “ECHO TONE” knobs to adjust the treble/bass in the generated echo. The echo system is protected by an acrylic cover in very good condition. A switch to deactivate the echo motor has been added to the back of the Solton, thus saving tape, heads, and pinch roller when the echo effect is not needed. The mixer has 8 input channels. Each channel is individual and has Volume, Bass, Treble, Echo/reverb volume (mixture of the direct sound with the echo/reverb), and a switch for switching between microphone or instrument. The Master volume is common to all channels. It also has a digital VU meter for control of... Peak (saturation) echo level. It also has a 7-band equalizer from 125Hz to 12000Hz, with the 3800Hz band being the "Anti-feedback". This equalizer is quite functional and useful for maximizing the mix. There is also a stereo headphone output with 3x gain levels (High, Medium, Low). It's truly a high-quality 4-in-1 system. The Commander 2000 has been completely overhauled and serviced by a specialized technician. In terms of maintenance, it is 100% ready for professional use and recording.
