The Strat Plus is a more modern and upscale evolution of the American Standard Stratocaster, and it is also the model that preceded the American Deluxe series. It features a classic construction with an alder body, a maple neck, and a maple fingerboard with a 9.5-inch radius. The Lace Sensor Gold pickups were the forerunners of Fender's later Noiseless pickups, offering reduced hum while retaining traditional Strat tones. Among its modern features are locking tuners (newly installed on this example) and the famous Wilkinson roller nut, designed to improve tuning stability, particularly when using the tremolo. The potentiometers have been replaced, and the guitar is sold with a generic hard case.
