This 1964 Fender Duo-Sonic is a wonderful example of one of Fender’s most charming and increasingly collectible vintage models. Finished in classic Olympic White, this pre-CBS instrument captures everything that makes mid-1960s Fender guitars so desirable: lightweight construction, effortless playability, and a clear, articulate voice that remains uniquely its own.

Originally introduced as a student model, the Duo-Sonic has long since earned recognition as a serious player's instrument. Its compact body, comfortable short-scale neck, and straightforward control layout make it an inspiring guitar to pick up and play, while its pair of original single-coil pickups deliver a surprisingly versatile range of tones. From crisp, jangly cleans to punchy overdriven sounds, the Duo-Sonic has a distinctive character that sits somewhere between a Stratocaster and a Mustang while maintaining its own unmistakable personality.

This example wears its age beautifully, with the naturally aged Olympic White finish showcasing the kind of honest vintage character that simply cannot be replicated. Decades of careful use have given the guitar the feel and resonance that collectors and players alike seek in a genuine pre-CBS Fender. The neck is exceptionally comfortable, and the guitar has the lively, responsive acoustic quality that often separates great vintage instruments from their modern counterparts. The tuners have been changed to a modern kluson set, the originals with the plastic buttons are not included.

As interest in offset and student-model Fender guitars continues to grow, clean and original Duo-Sonics from the pre-CBS era have become increasingly difficult to find. Whether you're a collector looking for a desirable vintage Fender, a recording musician searching for inspiring tones, or simply someone who appreciates the charm and simplicity of a great old guitar, this 1964 Duo-Sonic is a fantastic example of the model.

A classic pre-CBS Fender with timeless looks, outstanding feel, and a voice all its own. Includes a non original case.
