Selmer Serie III Jubilee
[Overview]
Selmer tenor saxophone, Serie III Jubilee model with engraved pattern. Lacquer finish (*). Made in 2011. Accessories: Original hard case, body plug, mesh pouch for accessories.
[Condition]
*The lacquer finish on the entire bell, body, neck, and most of the keys has discolored, resulting in a dull, matte appearance. (The lacquer itself is not peeling. The peeled areas are a bright brass color). There is some lacquer peeling on parts of the key guards and screws. There are very small, shallow dents on the back of the body and the side of the U-tube > repaired. There are no other dents or repair history in other areas. Completely overhauled with disassembly of all keys, internal cleaning, replacement of all pads (CHANU dome-shaped metal resonators/default specifications), corks, and felt.
[Features and Appeal]
The Serie III, the perfected form of the modern sound created by Selmer Paris.
This instrument is a Jubilee model from 2010 onwards.
Fast response, dense sound image, and excellent intonation balance. The perfection of sounding evenly across the entire range has been established as a different direction from the Serie II.
The tight and clearly defined sound will not get lost even in modern ensembles such as pop and fusion.
-And the greatest feature of this instrument is its appearance.
Originally finished in clear lacquer, the lacquer on the entire body has deteriorated due to the lining material of the case. As a result, it has changed to a dark texture with reduced gloss. The key point is that the deterioration is not localized, but uniform throughout.
It has a calm appearance, as if it were an intentionally antique finish.
The sound retains the clarity inherent in the Serie III, but with a slightly calmer, darker nuance. It has plenty of body and density, and delivers high performance regardless of genre.
It has been overhauled and is in perfect playing condition.
If you are drawn to this texture, this is a one-of-a-kind instrument.
