Yamaha Basse 5 cordes BB734A active/passive avec étui

The Yamaha BB734A is a versatile 5-string electric bass designed for professional musicians and discerning bassists. Part of the renowned Yamaha BB Series, it combines power, precision, and tonal flexibility thanks to its active/passive pickup configuration and built-in 3-band EQ.

Whether for the studio, stage, or rehearsal, the BB734A delivers a rich, articulate, and perfectly controlled sound.

Active/Passive Pickup with 3-Band EQ

The BB734A features an active/passive electronic pickup system for exceptional tonal versatility.

3-Band Active EQ for precise control of bass, mid, and treble frequencies

Passive mode for a more organic and traditional sound

Built-in Battery Warning Indicator

The YGD Custom V7 pickups (Alnico V) offer a dynamic response, deep bass, and defined treble, perfect for rock, jazz, funk, or pop.

Vintage Plus Bridge with Diagonal Body Thru Stringing

The BB734A features the renowned Vintage Plus Bridge, an innovative convertible bridge.

Diagonal Body Thru Stringing

Unlike traditional vertical stringing systems, the Diagonal Body Thru Stringing system allows the strings to pass through the body at a 45° angle, reducing excessive tension and optimizing vibration transfer.

Result:

✔ Improved sustain

✔ Less stress on the strings

✔ More natural and efficient resonance

The strings can also be installed behind the bridge for an alternative setup.

Convertible saddle for customized tone

The Vintage Plus bridge includes a convertible saddle with two angles:

Rounded side: softer, warmer tone

Angled side: tighter, more precise tone

The combination of the brass saddle (deeper bass) and the steel plate (increased brightness) allows for extremely precise tonal shaping.

All screws and springs are made of stainless steel for optimal durability and corrosion protection.

Alder/Maple/Alder Construction

The BB734A features a premium construction:

Alder/Maple/Alder Body

5-piece neck for increased stability

6-bolt neck joint for improved vibration transmission

Lightweight open-gear tuners

This design ensures superior strength, sustain, and playing comfort.
