The Swingmaster is a guitar from the 1960s, manufactured in the United States by Kay Musical Instruments. It stands out with its semi-hollow laminated maple body featuring F-holes, as well as a bolt-on maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard. Its sonic identity comes from its three “Kleenex Box” (P-35) single-coil pickups, designed by Gibson for Kay, which deliver a sound close to that of P-90s. The guitar features a 4-position rotary selector to isolate or combine the pickups, and each pickup has its own volume and tone controls, offering a wide palette of sounds—ideal for blues, rock, jazz, or rockabilly.
