Epiphone / 1967 FT-120 Excellent

This guitar was produced at the Kalamazoo factory as the top-of-the-line Epiphone model.
The decorative details throughout the instrument exude a luxurious, premium feel.
Let's take a look at the charms of this piece.

- A dramatic carving on the pickguard

The large, tortoiseshell pickguard, molded to the contours of the body, features a dynamic carving of an eagle perched on a branch, as well as carvings resembling fir cones. The pickguard is colored with white and yellow ink stripes to create a sense of shading.
Depending on the age, some models are colored in a single yellow.

The large, square-shouldered body is crafted from straight-grained spruce, and the weather-checking finish adds a touch of sophistication.

The sides and back are made of straight-grained rosewood, showcasing its beautiful grain.
There's no back strip, allowing the rosewood pattern to be seen across the entire back of the body.

The fingerboard is made of ebony and features mother-of-pearl cloud inlays.
The 15th fret has a square inlay.
Another notable feature is the narrow neck.

The neck has a slightly thick profile and a 7-piece construction with walnut sandwiched between mahogany.
A gold strap pin has been added to the neck heel.

The neck is over-lacquered.

The bridge features a unique design made of ebony and features adjustable matte ceramic saddles.

The headstock, which stands out among Epiphones, features the Epiphone logo as well as a large cloud inlay, indicating the model's high-end status.
This cloud inlay is made up of three separate components.

The tuning machines are equipped with gold KLUSON Sealfast pegs.

The unique decoration and imposing appearance of this top-of-the-line model make it a standout on stage.
You'll be captivated by its dynamic, powerful sound.
