Momose Limited Model MMG-FUYUZAKURA WSE’24/E 2024 - Sakura Pink

Introduction
This guitar is a 2024 limited edition model, with only 4 units produced. the Fuyuzakura (“Winter Cherry Blossom”) is crafted using Somei Yoshino cherry wood sourced from Ishikawa Prefecture.

Among Momose’s lineup, the Fuyuzakura model has always attracted special attention, and now a limited-edition version has been completed to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Sakura Guitar series. The cherry wood used in this model comes from the familiar Somei Yoshino variety native to Ishikawa. The selected piece of wood displays beautifully straight grain, and has been finished in delicate hues of white and pink—true to the “Winter Cherry Blossom” theme—while preserving its natural character.

This exclusive MMG model combines a short-scale body, which is not found in the regular lineup, with traditional hardware.

Full-bloom cherry blossoms and the Golden Eagle

On the ebony fingerboard, inlays of cherry blossom petals are accompanied by the image of the Golden Eagle (Inuwashi), the official bird of Ishikawa Prefecture. Known as the largest eagle species in Japan, it is often called the “Golden Eagle” for its appearance. Subtle references to this motif also appear in the pickguard and the headstock logo.

Headstock Design Featuring Gold Leaf by Hakuichi

A highlight detail on the headstock incorporates Kanazawa-haku gold leaf, one of Ishikawa’s most renowned traditional crafts. This collaboration with Hakuichi, a studio preserving Kanazawa’s gold leaf artistry, results in a cherry-blossom-shaped Bakelite inlay adorned with gold leaf, creating a striking three-dimensional effect.

10th Anniversary Commemorative Logo

On the back of the headstock, a silk-printed limited logo marks this instrument as a special 10th Anniversary Sakura Guitar model.
