Stunning Brazilian Rosewood Lowden 25th Anniversary F size Model Limited Edition from 1999 with a special Saint Patricks Snake Celtic designed Mother of Pearl, Abalone inlay on the headstock and fretboard. There's a couple of small marks but in excellent condition overall. Comes with original white Hiscox case with luxurious lining. Pickup installed. I can only find one other online that sold in TFOA for 12,000 Euro six years ago. I contacted Lowden about the guitar and they confirmed it is solid Brazilian Rosewood and said it's one of the best conditions of an older model they'd seen and they'd be afraid to play it! This Lowden F is part of the 25th Anniversary series.
The story is as follows; In November of 1998 a visitor to the Lowden factory brought a Lowden with serial number #1. The first guitar that George designed and built. This was an excellent reminder that Lowden has come a very long way. And to complete this long journey, George designed this limited edition model.
The back and sides consists of beautiful Brazilian rosewood, combined with a cedar top. One of the aspects that make Lowden guitars exceptional is the attention to details and craftsmanship, which is mainly reflected in the use of purflings on the two-piece back, the sides and the top which is completed by the 9-part rosette. The fretboard is also bound and inlaid with rosewood and koa, and is completed with the unique St. Patrick's Snake-Celtic mother of pearl / abalone inlay, which is also incorporated in the headstock.
