Here's one you don't see every day! The 1/800 "Bop Snare" from Trixon, dated to the 1960's and made in Germany. These are under-appreciated gems in the world of flat stack vintage snare drums - unfortunately this one's throw off is not fully functional, but can be tensioned using knobs on both sides of the drum that operate smoothly. Restoring the strainer to its immediate on/off function will take some work, but in a studio or collector's setting this drum would work nicely. Aside from the non-functional strainer, this drum is in nice vintage condition with no outlying cosmetic blemishes beyond normal wear to note. A slotted green tension key is included!
Interestingly, this drum was likely part of a cocktail set at some point and has a toothed eyebolt mounted within its shell that could be repurposed again if desired. We believe this is original, but I haven't been able to find any catalogue excerpts to back that claim.
