Saturnworks 2-Channel Insert / Audition Loop Junction Box Pedal with Upward Jacks

The Saturnworks 2-channel patch + audition loops simplifies your rig by allowing you to plug into a single spot and test out pedals in your rig by simply plugging them in to the 'audition loops.'

These switches are sometimes also referred to as insert loop boxes, test loop pedals, or audition switches.

If you often need to move your pedalboard, simplify things by plugging your input and output in a Saturnworks path pedal, rather than at opposite ends of the board.

Patch bays can also save wear and tear on your pedals. We load our patch bays with high quality jacks. However, even if you needed to replace the jacks eventually (not likely), they’re simple to swap out. Conversely, many effects pedals are made with lower quality jacks that are soldered directly to the circuitboard, which makes them difficult to repair or replace. Plugging and unplugging into a patch bay instead of your effects therefore prevents wear and lowers the chances that your expensive effects will develop jack/circuitboard issues.

The audition loops lets you quickly and easily test out or insert/remove devices in your rig. You simply plug the devices into the send/return audition loop jacks on the top of the patch bay. When the device is connected, the signal is automatically routed through whatever is in the loop. When the audition loop is disconnected, the signal is automatically routed straight across like a standard 1-channel patch bay. The audition loop functions similarly to a true bypass looper, except that the jacks do the switching, rather than a footswitch.
