The Foxey Face by Collateral has its roots in the legendary Fuzz Face pedals, immortalized by Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour, Eric Johnson, Bonamassa, and many other guitarists. Despite its seemingly simple circuit and operation, this type of circuit requires patience and many tests in selecting ideal transistor pairs. We have a large quantity and variety of classic transistors in stock (such as AC128, OC72, BC108, BC109), as well as numerous other models, from Japanese or Soviet origin, that bring wonderful tones with very low noise levels. The germanium version features an onboard voltage inverter, allowing the pedal to be powered by standard Boss power supplies.

Internally, the Foxey Face features an input control, which limits how much of your guitar signal or effects chain signal reaches the circuit - serving for fine-tuning of the tone - ranging from singing and rich sustain to the famous "glass tone" when reducing the instrument's volume. Externally, in addition to the traditional Level and Fuzz controls, we have the Bias control, which compensates for temperature changes in the germanium transistors, offering a wide range of tones and textures, with sounds closer to an overdrive or even a more "gated" fuzz, full of velcro-like decay in the sound.
