Here's a vintage Shure microphone pouch (from 1960s / 1970s). Outer areas: red thin velvet with black graphic / Inner areas: tan thin canvas. The pouch was originally paired with a Shure Unidyne III SM57 microphone. Microphone NOT included.

  • Length: 11 & 1/8"
  • Width: 3"

The bottom edge has a metal snap closure (the metal snap closure works fine). But because the red outer fabricis delicate and because it has wear (esp at the lower area - near the metal snap pieces) I personally do not recommend that you snap it close. If you do - pleaes be very careful when snapping close snd unsnapping the pouch.

Many areas (especially the outer areas - outer material) have visible wear (mostly tears, light fading in the red color, creases / unevenness) from use and from age. See pictures.

This pouch has a cool vintage / distressed / relic'ed appearance.

Going by REVERB's condition criteria - I put it's condition as GOOD.

But going by a regular observance type of review of it's condition - it's in FAIR shape. Some people might feel that it's in betwen Good & FAIR shape.

Both sides of the pouch have the same graphic. Aside from some creases and some unevenness on the material where the graphics are - the graphics are fine.

The tan canvas material under the red thin velvet material is thin - but strong / durable. And -from what I can see in person and in the pictures that I took -the inside of the pouch is generally clean with some small yellow stains. I'm guessing that the tan material probably darken a little from age.

Stitchings on the long side, on the top side, and on the bottom areas are fine.

I'll leave it up to you - if you want to glue the areas where the outer red thin velvet fabric is lifting offf of the tan canvas material. If you do decide to do - I think that fabric glue will do the job. Or maybe take the pouch to a hobby place or to a fabric place and ask the salesperson what he / she recommends to use.

I took many pictures of this pouch. Feel free to ask for more pictures.

NOTE: There may be some imperfections that I overlooked. There may be some imperfections that can be seen in person that do not appear in the pictures (or that look different in person compared to the pictures). And - there are some things show up in the pictures that are not that visible in person - like shadows / dust - lint specks.
