Raw Series instruments have a minimal, wax body finish giving a naturally smooth feel that will patina over time. They are expertly handcrafted in National's California workshop to the high quality standards their reputation is built on.

The brass body is plated and then given an aged patina, resulting in a unique vintage look. Each instrument is individually finished by hand so no two instruments look exactly alike, making each one a unique work of art. The mahogany neck features an ebony fretboard and 1930s peghead with vintage-style tuning machines. This Tricone looks like it’s a veteran of the juke joints and dancehalls, and the brass body emits a bell-like tone and rich sustain that backs up the appearance.
