BIGZUN XFADE – Passive A/B Crossfader, 2HP Eurorack Module (assembled and tested)

XFADE is a slim 2HP passive crossfader – two inputs, one 30 mm slider, one output. Slider up = IN A, slider down = IN B, in the middle an equal blend of both. Works with audio and CV alike.

With only one cable patched, XFADE becomes a simple fader: an empty input is grounded, so the slider fades the signal from full level down to silence.

Fully passive – no power, no ribbon cable, no current draw.

Use cases

• Smooth crossfades between two oscillators, drones or effect returns
• Blending two LFOs or envelopes into one modulation signal
• Manual fade-in / fade-out of a single signal
• Dry/wet mixing when every HP counts

Honest note

Like every passive crossfader, XFADE has no buffering. In the middle position each input is at about −6 dB, and at the end of travel the other input still leaks through slightly (about −20 dB, depending on the source). Linear CV crossfade – fine for modulation, not for precise 1V/oct pitch CV.
