This 14" AAX Freq Hat Bottom delivers crisp, controlled response with a tight feel underfoot. The raw bell and dual-lathing design gate the attack efficiently, preventing the cymbal from washing out during fast playing or complex cymbal work. Built for drummers who demand articulate definition from their hi-hat setup.
Tone & CharacterThe bright sound paired with heavy bottom weight creates a cutting attack that cuts through live and recorded contexts without blooming excessively. The exclusive dual-lathing process and raw bell design—the same technology featured on the 2013 Cymbal Vote winning AAX Freq Crash—produces a super crispy tone that stays locked in even at high volumes and faster tempos.
Build & MaterialsCrafted from B20 bronze with a traditional finish, this cymbal combines SABIAN's proven alloy with meticulous manufacturing. The dual-lathing process and raw bell design work together to control stick definition and minimize undesired sustain.
