About this listing
Introduced in 1993, the PRS Custom 22 was designed as a slightly warmer, fuller-voiced sibling to the flagship Custom 24. The key differences include a 22-fret neck and repositioned neck pickup to the “proper” spot. By 2000, the model had become a mainstay of the PRS lineup, appealing to players looking for a versatile guitar with solid build and elegant looks. This example features a stunning 10-top maple top. It has seen its share of gigs and carries playwear and dings on the body and headstock. It has the classic PRS Wide Fat neck, which feels great, and a beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard. These were originally equipped with the PRS 5-way rotary pickup selector, but this one has been converted to a 3-way toggle for easier on-the-fly switching. The original rotary is included in the case. The pickups are PRS Dragon II humbuckers, known for their articulate highs and punchy low end.At 3400g, it’s a lightweight example and comes with the original PRS hardcase, which is quite worn but works as it should. No tools or paperwork included.SPECIFICATIONSBody Construction: Solidbody, set neckTop Wood: Carved figured maple (10-top)Back Wood: MahoganyNeck Wood: MahoganyFingerboard: East Indian rosewoodInlays: MoonsNeck Profile: Wide FatScale Length: 25 inchesFrets: 22Bridge: PRS TremoloPickups: PRS Dragon II Treble and Bass humbuckersControls: Volume, Tone, 3-way toggle (original 5-way rotary in case)Finish: Cherry SunburstWeight: 3400gTuners: PRS Phase I Wing LockingCase: Original hardshell, worn but functionalMade in: Stevensville, Maryland, USA
