Each instrument in the series boasts a solid wood top. Compared to an instrument with a laminate top, a bass guitar such as this California Deluxe Kingman Bass CE Mahogany will exhibit greater responsiveness and a deeper, more harmonically rich voice. This Deluxe Kingman Bass CE boasts a solid mahogany top — a tonewood renowned for its rounded-over warmth and midrange bias — framed with scalloped X-bracing to maximize the top’s vibration and deliver superior low-end potential.Engineered for electric-like playabilityRegardless of your style or skill level, Fender’s Slim C mahogany neck delivers optimal playing comfort. This fast-playing profile clocks in just a tad thinner than your typical C profile, with a slender 1.5-inch nut width, making for a smooth transition for bassists who primarily play electric. Moreover, a slightly reduced 30-inch scale length makes for easier bends, shorter stretches between frets, and an overall slinkier feel. Factor in the neck’s slick satin finish and 9.5-inch-radius walnut fingerboard, and you have a neck that provides top-level playability, no matter where your music takes you.Performance-ready Fishman electronicsYou'll find a Fishman electronics system ready to go on the California Deluxe Kingman Bass CE. This system provides impeccable tone, along with a 2-band EQ and phase control for final sound shaping. What's more, the onboard tuner ensures your California Deluxe Kingman Bass CE is always ready to hit the stage.Fender California Deluxe Kingman Bass CE Mahogany Features:An accessible acoustic-electric bass built to stage-ready standardsComfortable Kingman body with cutaway offers exceptional upper-fret accessSolid mahogany top with scalloped X-bracing provides a warm and midrange-forward timbreMahogany body warms up your tone and rings with a classic midrange punchFast-playing Slim C mahogany neck is sure to feel familiar to electric bass playersSmooth 9.5-in.-radius walnut fingerboard30-in. scale length shortens the distance between frets and results in an overall slinkier feelFishman CD-1 preamp system ensures plug-and-play acoustic-electric performancePreamp features Treble, Bass, and Phase controls to shape your soundOnboard tuner to keep your strings pitch perfectInspired by Fender’s historic acoustics, sporting 4-in-line, split-shaft tuning machines, a modern Viking bridge, and a Jazz Bass-style headstockAbout Capital City Guitars:We are a small brick and mortar music store, we take pride in earning the respect of our customers.
