A lot of NED and NED-related items are coming out of the warehouse now with all the recent moves, and I'll be listing these as time permits. Some are rare, some are EXTREMELY rare.

Surplus to needs, I long forgot I even had most of these items because they were packed in flight cases, erroneously packed in with the Mogami audio snakes that I'm trying to get through now.

You CAN'T use this if you don't have an NED system. Not for other samplers, etc..

Synhouse is the only company that has existed since NED shut down June 22, 1992 that has the capability to replace/renew ALL the backplanes in any NED system with brand new ones, and has shipped or installed/shipped or just installed dozens of brand new backplanes in the last few years as the ultimate extravagant reliability upgrade, so plenty of old ones from NED are being surplused now, and I can blow this one out for cheap.

I thought maybe someone out there might like to have a loose backplane to play with, now that I've seen three sellers parting out 1-3 systems each worth of junk NED cards, but I haven't seen any backplanes sold out there at all, and by that I mean not even one loose backplane in the entire history of this platform.

This particular item is a fairly late build (right before the PSMT was discontinued) of the latest computer backplane for the C and D processors, the IB25-385. I think that the A/B processor would work in the backplane for the C/D processor but I'm not entirely sure because that would be a very dumb mod so I haven't tried it. I should, though.

The IB25 was made around the end of 1984 for the new PSxx series of systems with the Fast Processor (C processor), and the IB25-385 is the latest revision of it that could not be bettered, that's why it was used for 8 years. The point of it was that it actually USED the space and had 25 real slots, instead of the previous fake "32 slot" backplane that had only 21 slots in it, and so close together that the big RAM cards rubbed against the next door cards. It also added some support for newer hardware in the backplane, and had more slots connected to more of the system resources, so that, well, if the A/B processor would work in this C/D processor bin backplane, it surely wouldn't work the other way, as the older backplane could not support so many cards in so many locations (many cards are slot dependent and need to be in consecutive slots in order for the system to run). Synhouse is designing at least 3 new backplanes to take the support and functionality further. Sometimes I feel kind of annoyed at why this is here or why there is no slot here, etc., and I can just change the design to add some holes or add a slot, etc., as I already have all the board designs in the can, and can just draw a little more onto it.
