Rare 1979 FUJIGEN made Greco EG-500C LP CUSTOM Solid body U-1000 pickup Made in Japan

Vintage 1979 Greco EG-500C, made in Japan.

This model is part of the highly regarded late-70s Greco lineup,
often referred to as the “lawsuit era,” known for its excellent build quality and vintage-style craftsmanship.

It is believed to have been manufactured by Fujigen,
one of Japan’s most respected guitar factories.

The guitar features a classic Les Paul-style construction, delivering a warm,
rich tone with excellent sustain. Suitable for a wide range of styles from rock to blues.

Modifications

Tuners have been replaced with gold Grover-style tuners,
similar to those used on Japanese Yamaha SG models
Pickguard has been replaced with a newer one
Nut has been replaced with a brass nut.

This guitar shows signs of use consistent with its age, including scratches and dents.
Small cracks are present on the back of the body and around the neck joint; these are not structural issues,
but age-related finish checking or surface cracks. There are no major structural problems.
The neck is straight, and the frets show some wear but remain fully playable.
All electronics are working properly.

There is also a previously installed toggle switch (tap switch) between the volume and tone controls.
This has been removed, and the area has been repaired so that it is not very noticeable.
