Just check my 100% feedback history (all for vintage mics) and buy with confidence. I am a mic repairman and also a collector so I might be interested in your old mic (even not working or not complete).

AKG D36 is super rare and super useful mic - just ask Led Zeppelin:-) They are super rare due to the fact that they was made only between 1958 and 1961 in small quantities exclusively for the European market studio / broadcast.

Optical state of this piece is very nice as you may see on photos, technically it is in perfect state. Both capsules working with full spectrum fat sound.

Famed as kick mic but excellect to capture a double bass, bass amp, tuba or trombone etc.. Bi-directional position proximity effect can do wonders.

Dual capsule design (actually 2 D12 capsules) provides four directional characteristics: omni, bi-directional, cardioid and two (front or rear) and a lots of in between them.

It is not by chance that it was the favorite microphone for these instruments in almost all legendary recordings of Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and most famous bands that have recorded at Olympic studios in their heyday. Its sonic qualities helped to define the drum sounds of Charlie Watts, Mitch Mitchell, Keith Moon and John Bonham. Eddie Kramer promotes it still as the best bass microphone he has ever used.

The connectors are unobtainable so I made those two on the cable and exchanged the output for XLR.

It is a jewel of any studio, useful tool and good investment in one (prices go only higher through years).

It is a must have for collectors but also for audio studios (it is owned and used by biggest studios in the world)! You may have a fully functional mic and a collectors piece at once. It´s price can go only higher through the years so it is a good investment, too!

Payment and shipping:
I always have more vintage mics for sale and I can combine shipping. I ship all over the world just ask me about the cost if your country is not in EU or USA.
