// Brilhart Alto Sax Mouthpiece Ebolin //
Founded in the United States by Arnold Ross Brillhart in 1939, Brillhart is a legendary mouthpiece manufacturer known for being used by many historic musicians in the jazz scene.
Brillhart was acquired by Conn-Selmer (formerly Selmer USA) in the 1960s, and after more than half a century, the company has now fully reproduced the product. For the reproduction, they reused the molds and logo roll stamps made by Brillhart in the 1950s and used during the California factory (Carlsbad period), which had been left behind by Conn-Selmer. They were also particular about the materials, and repeatedly prototyped using multiple ABS resins with different compositions.
The Evolin's signature large chamber and flat sidewalls are still present, producing a fat, mellow sound. The only change has been the facing curve, which has been improved to suit modern instruments and reeds.
The high-end Evolin model has a white bite plate embedded in it, just like the original Brillhart. The serial number is laser engraved on the side of the body, and each instrument is expertly checked and hand-finished. The package will include the serial number as well as the autographs of the person who checked and hand-finished the instrument.
