Handcrafted at the Fender Custom Shop in Corona, California, this instrument includes every modification Vaughan made to his own guitar over the years. A case and certificate are included.

SRV’s preferred Stratocaster construction showcases the unbeatable wood pairing of alder and maple. The body is built from two carefully selected pieces of alder, while the neck is crafted from rift-sawn maple. This premium cut ensures vertical growth rings for maximum stability. The robust Special SRV Oval C neck profile is well balanced, giving both modern players and vintage enthusiasts a comfortable foundation for the fretting hand.

The three hand-wound Texas Special single coils embody the authentic sound of the Lone Star State. With overwound coils, they deliver fiery, high-output tones that push amplifiers into natural crunch with ease. At the same time, they remain dynamic and expressive, producing shimmering cleans when the volume is rolled back. The traditional Stratocaster control layout provides a 5-way switch for all pickup combinations, along with two dedicated tone controls that shape the treble response of the neck and middle pickups.
