Over the years Fender has offered various models with shorter scale lengths, simplified electronics and smaller bodies. These are often referred to as student models, but history has proven that many artists have used these models throughout their entire careers. Kurt Cobain, Liz Faire, and Justin Meldell Johnson to name a few. Considering that the Fender Play foundation benefits students, it's only fitting that each master builder builds their version of a student model. These one-off guitars will be extremely unique and special for a worthy cause and an excellent opportunity for the master builders to stretch out on models not commonly ordered through them. Fender never offered and short scale paisley models and Vincent Van Trigt felt that a student during the summer of love would need something groovy too. This mustang base is as cool as it gets.
